Of course this is the objective of all believers, but it is particularly vital for us because we are amongst a people desperate for an intimate relationship with the Lord but have a culture that makes it difficult. But through God's guidance and grace this has been possible. Having built a sanctuary in 2009 we today now have the daily challenge of maintaining the church as a home where anyone can come to hear of the things of Jesus Christ.
The name of our church is Belmont Hija. Belmont is the name of our home church back in Nashville, Tennessee that has been so instrumental in establishing the work here in Okinawa, and Hija is the name of the local community in which we live. Our vision and desire is simple, to learn about Christ, live for Christ, and love as Christ.
